A Day at the Park

While Daddy slaved away at work, Zachy and I enjoyed a day at Frognerparken, a park and playground near our apartment.

We also got our Visa photos taken. It is done photo-booth style, so it was a little challenging to get Zach to sit still!

hey bethany, its ashley from playgroup! I'm so happy to hear that you guys are enjoying norway and zach gets to experience this! I was a few years older than him when we moved there, but I look back on those years as honestly some of the best of my life. the country is not only beautiful, but safe and family friendly...a totally different atmosphere from the rush herein the US. I'm glad to see you're adjusting to the way of life over there...my poor mom moved with four kids (including three teenagers) and had serious issues not being able to buy a full cart of food haha. how long will you guys be there? we lived there for three years, and I remember every time we came home to visit, my mom would make a sams run that seriously resulted in several lanes being shut down. oh, the conveniences of capitalism, and cheap gas. if you get a chance, you should try to visit up north to the sami tribe...they're an amazing group of people and zach will have the time of his life up there, as they have a bunch of reindeer farms and lots of snow activities. also, look into maybe taking a cruise up the coast; they only last a few days and are fairly cheap, but they're beautiful and you'll learn a lot about norwegian culture. great whalewatching, too! I'm so excited for you guys!

Hey Ashley! How is Kayleigh these days? I can't believe you used to live here, what a coincidence! We're here for a year and will definitely take your advice and go up to the Laplands and on the cruise. We hope to do a lot of travelling in other parts of Europe too, so if you have any other recommendations...
